RA Sushi is having its 2nd Annual "Maki Madness" sushi-eating contest on Sunday March 21st from noon - 3:30 PM. The winner of last year's contest consumed six whole Tootsy Maki rolls in less than three minutes. Whew!
The grand prize eater will win sushi for a year, 12 $50 RA Sushi gift certificates, as well as bragging rights as the RA Sushi MAKI MADNESS champion. Second place will win a $100 gift certificate, third place will receive a $50 gift certificate and fourth, a $25 gift certificate. All participants will receive a RA Sushi sweatband and participants who don’t make it to the “final four” will receive Penny Drink Cards and/or Complimentary Appetizer Cards for use at another time.
Maki Madness is limited to the first 48 entries. Applications are available at RA Baltimore, 1390 Lancaster St. Deadline to register is Friday, March 12 or when the bracket is full and all eaters must be at least 18 years old to participate. Registration to compete includes a $10 entry fee, which will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland along with donations from guests at the door.
